Vitamin K
Vitamin K is found in many forms, Phytomenadione is the natural
form of vitamin K. It is oil soluble and its natural sources are
green vegetables and yoghurt. Its main functions are as a blood
clotting agent and its main deficiency symptoms are nosebleeds,
frequent haemorrhaging and miscarriages. If antibiotics have been
taken the friendly intestinal flora which produce vitamin K will
be killed and so deficiency may result.
