Although food allergies are considered controversial by some in the medical profession, airborne allergens, such as pollens, lead to obvious, classical and instantly recognisable symptoms.

Hayfever is most commonly associated with the grass pollen season in June and July. However, other pollens and spores can also cause symptoms of sneezing, inflamed mucous membranes (eyes and throat), and running nose. These include the blossoms from trees in the spring and fungi in the autumn.

Orthodox researchers have yet to establish exactly why some people are sensitive to pollens, while others escape, but do offer anti-histamine medications to reduce the symptoms. As is often the case, simply offering symptom relief is a sure sign that the cause is misunderstood.
